This gripping feature chronicles the events leading up to the discovery of the Higgs Boson, one of the great scientific discoveries of recent years. Dr. Thompson was a member of the team at the CERN facility in Meyrin, Switzerland, that detected this missing link in atomic theory after years of searching.
