"Rosenwald" -- Movies@Hope and the College Parks Arts Exchange proudly present this 2015 documentary, which tells the story of Julius Rosenwald, Jewish philanthropist and righteous person, who joined forces with African American communities in Prince George’s County and throughout the Jim Crow South to build over 5,300 schools during the early part of the 20th century. Susan Pearl, Prince George’s historian who has done important research on the Rosenwald schools in our area, will introduce the film and lead a discussion afterwards. This acclaimed film is not available on DVD or streaming, and is presented by permission of the National Center for Jewish Film. Don’t miss this important event!
