Songs My Brothers Taught Me" - Filmed on the Pine Ridge Reservation in the badlands of South Dakota and featuring local Lakota Indians, this film depicts the hopes and perils of contemporary Native American life as a family struggles to make their way on the margins of the dominant society. Directed by rising young filmmaker Chloe Zhao, this film was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
